TATTOO AFTER CARE

Keep the 2nd skin on for 3-5 days. 3 minimum, 5 maximum.

You can shower with it on. Be mindful of the edges which can warp, that’s normal, just keep an eye out for water getting caught underneath it if it does.

Removal

Once it is ready to remove, do not pull or rip off bandages.

Remove saniderm in shower or under running water. Tug gently and it will come off.

Moisturize for 5 days using either coconut oil or vitamin e oil. You can always use non scented lotion like currell or aveeno.

Tattoos can sometimes lose a bit of their ink as they heal. We offer a free touch-up for your tattoo (if needed). The best way to ensure a vibrant and well-done piece of body art is within the first few days are the most important. Here’s what we recommend:

• Keep your bandage on over night
• Remove your sterile bandage the next day. Wash the area with cool, antibacterial soap with water. Please make sure your hands are cleaned thoroughly prior to cleaning your tattoo. After washing, gently pat the area dry with a clean paper towel. Do not rub the skin. Apply a very thin layer of Curel, Coconut Oil, Aquaphor, Lubriderm, or A&D. If you are allergic, you can use Vitamin E Oil as often as needed to keep the tattoo moist at all times. Do this for the first 2 weeks after receiving the tattoo. Your tattoo may peel for a while. This is the old skin and some bits of excess ink. It is normal. Your tattoo will be fine once healed.
• After removing the bandage and cleaning your tattoo, do not cover with a bandage. Your tattoo needs to breathe. Avoid tight clothing or anything that can irritate the healing skin.

• For two weeks after receiving your tattoo please limit the exposure to water on your tattoo. Showers are fine, but not baths. Avoid pools, jacuzzi, ocean bathing, sweating/exercising during this time period.
• Protect your tattoo from direct sunlight and it will be bright and fresh for many years. Use a sun block with a rating of "40" or stronger.
• Do not drink alcohol for twenty-four hours following the tattoo.
